Overview

Electric performance, heavy-duty design

The eTuatara combines a quiet, instant-torque electric drivetrain with the same all-steel platform, 310mm clearance and serious carrying capacity as the petrol model — built for the toughest Australian conditions.

A permanent-magnet synchronous motor and lithium iron phosphate battery deliver clean, dependable power with minimal servicing — no air intake, no carburation, no exhaust and no oil changes. Regenerative braking gives genuine engine braking on steep descents and tops the battery back up as you work.

  • Two variants — 70–90km (12kWh 1500E-2) or 120–160km (26kWh 1500E-3)
  • Semi-automatic high/low ratio transmission
  • Selectable 2WD / 4WD with differential lock on each axle
  • Regenerative braking recharges the battery on the run
  • Adjustable top speed 10–50 km/h (default 40 km/h)
  • Minimal servicing — far lower running costs than petrol

Two variants

Pick the battery that suits your day

Both variants share the same 15kW (30kW peak) motor, all-steel platform, 310mm clearance and standard winch, hoist and diff locks — the only difference is how far they go between charges.

Tuatara 1500E-2

The everyday battery. Plenty for a full day of feeding out, fencing, orchard rounds or moving crew and gear around a site — plug it in overnight and go again.

  • 12 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery
  • 70–90 km range
  • 15 kW rated / 30 kW peak motor

Tuatara 1500E-3

The long-range battery. Built for big properties, back-to-back shifts and operations that can't stop to charge in the middle of the day.

  • 26 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery
  • 120–160 km range
  • 15 kW rated / 30 kW peak motor

Why go electric

Less to service. Less to spend. Less noise.

Near-silent

Move quietly around stock, hives and the bush without spooking anything.

Low running cost

Charge from the grid or solar — running costs equivalent to roughly 30c a litre.

Almost no servicing

No oil, no filters, no exhaust, no carburettor — just keep it charged.

Instant torque

130 N·m on tap from a standstill for steep climbs and heavy loads.

Regenerative braking

Real engine braking downhill that puts charge back into the battery.

Long-range option

Step up to the 26kWh 1500E-3 for 120–160km between charges.

Clean & Green

Zero emissions. Near silent. Barely any servicing.

Electric Tuataras run clean and quiet, with costs equivalent to roughly 30c a litre and the option to charge straight off your solar.

Zero tailpipe emissions

No exhaust and no on-site fumes — safe to run in sheds, glasshouses and enclosed spaces.

Charge from solar

Recharge overnight from the grid or straight off your panels — fuel you don't have to cart.

Near-silent running

Won't startle stock, disturb patients or guests, or break council noise limits.

Regenerative braking

Recovers energy on every descent for more range and far less brake wear.

No oils or filters

No engine oil, coolant or filters to change, store or send to landfill.

Lower running costs

Cheaper per kilometre and far less to service than a petrol equivalent.

Where it works

Quiet, clean and capable — wherever you need it

Because it's electric and emission-free, it goes places a noisy, fume-producing machine can't — indoors, after hours and around people.

Farms & stations

Feeding out, fencing and stock work with serious payload and traction.

Hospitals & aged care

Silent, zero-emission transport for grounds, laundry and supplies around people.

Airports & airside

Clean, quiet runabouts for terminals, hangars and airside maintenance crews.

Shipping & logistics

Move people and gear around distribution centres, ports and yards — indoors or out.

Councils & facilities

Parks, sportsgrounds, campuses and cemeteries — gentle on turf and on the ears.

Mining & civil

All-steel toughness and a 2,000kg winch for site works and access roads.

Universities & campuses

Tidy, emission-free transport for maintenance teams across large sites.

Resorts & tourism

Quiet guest and crew transport that won't disturb the peace.
